Molecular Acquires Ion Global San Francisco

Acquisition Bolsters Leading internet consulting firm's Globalization Capabilities and Strengthens the Isobar Network

WATERTOWN, Mass. – August 2, 2007 – Molecular, Inc., a leading internet consulting firm, today announced that, through its parent company Isobar, part of London-listed Aegis Group plc, it is acquiring Ion Global San Francisco, part of Asia-based Ion Global. Acquiring Ion Global, a leading Web strategy and interactive marketing agency specializing in globalization services, will further strengthen Molecular’s premium Internet consulting offering, enhancing its ability to deliver innovative digital marketing services to global brands. Announced today, the acquisition is expected to close next month.

“Over the past year, Molecular has experienced tremendous client growth, and part of this growth is due to our regional expansion with the opening of the firm’s New York and San Francisco offices,” said Howard Kogan, Molecular’s president. “Adding the Ion Global team in San Francisco will immediately strengthen Molecular’s West Coast presence and enhance our ability to deliver more exciting digital programs to global brands.”

With offices in San Francisco, Hong Kong and Seoul, Ion Global has been providing e-business strategies and solutions to major corporations and government organizations around the world since 1995. A leading provider of Web strategy, internationalization and globalization services, Ion Global helps companies realize the power of the Internet as a business platform and customer relationship channel. Ion Global integrates four core competencies – strategy, user experience, technology and marketing – to custom build solutions for clients’ digital marketing platforms.

Industry veteran Wei-Tai Kwok, currently managing director at Ion Global San Francisco, will manage Molecular’s existing San Francisco office as vice president and managing director. Kwok brings more than twenty years of marketing and globalization experience to Molecular, having most recently served as the head of Ion Global’s globalization practice. Under Kwok’s leadership, Ion Global attracted and developed long-term relationships with Fortune 500 global brands. He has been with Ion Global for more than 14 years, and has chaired and spoken at numerous international conferences.

Molecular’s parent company, Isobar, has signed an agreement to acquire Ion Global's three offices in San Francisco, Seoul and Hong Kong. As part of Isobar’s strategic goal of building a global network of leading digital marketing agencies, it is aligning each Ion Global office with the network company most complementary to its service offerings.
